Terms of use
These terms explain the service Cancelminder provides and your responsibilities when using it.
About the service
CancelMinder operates the Cancelminder service. You can contact us at obodaij@gmail.com.
Cancelminder helps you organise free trials, review important dates and receive reminders. Optional read-only Gmail access can help identify trial confirmations. You can also add and edit trials yourself.
Cancelminder does not cancel subscriptions, contact merchants on your behalf or control their billing. You must complete any cancellation directly with the merchant and check that it has taken effect.
Your account
Provide accurate account information and use an email address and connected inbox you are authorised to access. Keep your credentials secure. Do not share another person’s account or attempt to access data that does not belong to you.
Google sign-in does not grant Gmail access. Connecting an inbox is an optional, separate authorisation that you can revoke.
Dates, detection and reminders
Detection and extracted information can be incomplete or incorrect. Recommended cancellation dates include a safety buffer; they are not the same as a merchant’s actual cancellation deadline or a trial’s end date.
Review dates, timezones, amounts, billing intervals and cancellation instructions against the merchant’s terms. Delivery can be affected by connectivity, provider outages, spam filtering and notification settings. Do not rely on receiving a reminder as your only way to avoid a charge.
Mark a trial cancelled only after completing cancellation with the merchant. Marking it cancelled in Cancelminder stops its pending reminders; it does not cancel the merchant subscription.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, bypass access controls, misuse connected inboxes, introduce malicious content or use it to infringe another person’s rights. We may restrict access where necessary to address abuse or protect the service, subject to applicable law.
Merchant services and charges
Your agreement with a merchant is separate from these terms. Merchant pricing, trial eligibility, billing and cancellation policies are controlled by that merchant. Estimated charges and potential savings shown in Cancelminder are informational and may change.
Any fee for Cancelminder itself must be disclosed to you before you agree to pay. These terms do not authorise an undisclosed charge.
Privacy and your information
Our Privacy Policy explains the information processed to operate the service and the controls available to you. You retain your rights in the information you provide; we process it to provide the service and for the purposes described in that policy.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, update or change the service. It may sometimes be unavailable. Where a material change affects your rights or the service you receive, we will provide notice where required by applicable law. Changes to these terms will be dated on this page.
Leaving Cancelminder
You can disconnect Gmail without deleting your existing trials. You can delete your account from your account settings to stop using Cancelminder. Account deletion does not cancel any merchant subscription; you remain responsible for those arrangements.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law prohibits that exclusion.
The service’s limitations described above do not remove obligations that apply to us under mandatory law.
